What is Truth is Louder- Pay it Forward?
It is a movement for ‘self-represented litigants’ and ‘would-be’ whistleblowers and the people who support them.
It is a movement of people applying their talents to creating new forms of approaches to problem solving.
Our unique form of social innovation will develop fresh opportunities for those for whom the system is currently not working well enough. Forewarned is forearmed!
We invite you to write in and share your stories, tips and resources and expertise, so that others can benefit from them. The information gathered will be featured on the ‘Resources‘ and ‘Blog’ pages.
If you feel as if you have been let down by the system and it has caused you unnecessary financial hardship, harmed your personal relationships and health, then please also get in touch.
A particular demand exists for a movement like Truth is Louder- ‘Pay it Forward’, that will create some sense of empowerment for ‘self-represented litigants’ and ‘would be’ whistleblowers in an area in which that is manifestly needed but woefully absent.
We strive to encourage the actions of paying-it-forward, to rouse a society where people help, just for the sake of helping: whether this be by sharing resources, experiences, tips, guidance, advocacy, offering to accompany individuals to the Tribunal or Court etc
There is no expected return…no money transactions, exchange. It’s simply kindness!
Why is this so important?
This is a new movement, with a noble cause, and we need you to help us reach people who care about equal access to justice, protecting human rights and ensuring that ‘We, The People’ can force public authorities to be more accountable.
Most people who bring a Tribunal claim will be unrepresented and as a result they are likely to experience a long period of struggle and frustration.
The introduction of Tribunal fees, when coupled with the devastating cuts being made to legal aid, tips the scales of justice towards employers, and denies legal redress to those who do not have the money to pay for it.
You are being systematically crushed and ‘priced out’ of justice!
Like me, you will experience greater levels of inequality!
My personal story demonstrates that trying to expose wrong-doing and lies can damage your health and reputation…not to mention being left with a huge debt if you try to seek justice and clear your name.
The obstacles that I encountered on the road to ruin and further injustice were insurmountable in the end, but I want to ensure that my journey wasn’t a complete waste of time. Therefore, I am paying it forward!
As you will also be aware, the Government has promised to strengthen Whistleblowing laws in order to protect those who speak out.
Clearly the Government’s plan to overhaul Whistleblowing laws will have come too late for me, but it doesn’t have to be too late for you!
What can you do to help?
STEP 1: Spread the word about this website and tell your family, friends and colleagues about it through email and social media.
STEP 2: Get 5 other people to do the same.
STEP 3: Pay it forward: write in and share your stories, tips and resources and expertise and help ‘change the playing field’ a little.
If you are particularly concerned by my legal cases and the waste of tax payers money by Lewisham Council in relation to this:
STEP 4: You can contact your local MP and ask them to raise the issue with the Prime Minister during the House of Commons ‘Question Time’. Hopefully they will be willing to speak out against this.
How do you find out? Simple, just ask them.STEP 5: Alternatively, you could contact to Margaret Hodge (Chair of Public Accounts Committee) or contact the Public Accounts Committee directly and them to investigate this matter. The Committee has the power to question witnesses vigorously and hold civil servants to account.
STEP 6: Alternatively, you could contact the Local Auditor ‘Grant Thornton’ (it has taken over the policing of public spending for Lewisham Council from the now defunct ‘National Audit Office’):
